Our Dedication to Craftsmanship
The difference is
in the details.
Four generations of shoemaking. Made slowly, made to last.
Goodyear welted.
Built to be rebuilt.
Every pair we make is Goodyear welted, the most durable form of shoe construction there is. Three careful layers of stitching, anchored by a lockstitch, give the entire structure its firmness.
It also means the shoe can be resoled, again and again. When the sole wears out, the shoe doesn't. That is the difference between footwear that is replaced and footwear that is kept.
Eight craftsmen.
One pair of shoes.
We are keeping the art of shoemaking alive in the age of mass production. Each pair passes through the hands of eight different craftsmen, each an expert in a single stage of the craft, many carrying skills passed down through generations in Agra.
The result is a labour of love: highly durable, beautifully finished, and unmistakably made by hand.
Beauty comes from quality, quality comes from care.
At KOCH & CO., we care.
Eight stages,
in order.
From a hide of full grain leather to a finished pair, every shoe follows the same sequence it has for four generations.
Only the
highest grade
materials
A shoe is only as good as what it is made from. We source each material for one quality above all: how it lives, wears, and improves over years of use.
